mmmmm….Pages…

Is better than MS Word. No annoying auto-correction, a proofreader in addition to a spell checker, simple “Inspector” window with all your tools in various tabs, it’s lovely.

PS. It’s also better than OpenOffice Writer, if for no other reason than not being inexplicably sluggish. Does Writer have a proofreader/context spell checker (ie, does it catch things like the wrong use of “too”?)

  1. yes, Pages is better than MS Word…much better. There’s also a nifty and way to leave notes for yourself. and when you turn on the “show corrections” it’s even cooler ’cause you can have multiple people do the corrections and each one will have a different color.

and yeah, I didn’t like OpenOffice either….or AbiWord. Pages is the best wordprocessor ever.

  2. Really? Cool.

  3. There’s a ton of cool stuff packed in to the inspector on Pages! And one of the way awesome things is that it integrates anything from Keynote or Numbers without creating a true mess like the MS suite does Tables and charts automatically resize and flow with your text in Pages

  4. I just opened up OO, and it didn’t detect anything wrong with the fact that I went too the store. Granted, I have an old version of OO. Not sure that kind of stuff was corrected in the newer ones, like how I didn’t know they added support for .docx that doesn’t require conversions.
